The tight competition between car producers generates a tight competition between tuning companies, too. And Germany is a place where these competitions reach the maximum in everything. One of the country’s growing tuning companies that constantly strive for great projects is Geigercars. Although it is a German company, it is the official partner of Cadillac, Corvette, Hummer and Chevrolet. The latest project coming from them is based on the American most muscle car, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is fantastic when it comes out the factory gates, being known as the perfect driving machine. The guys at Geigercars equipped the vehicle with an updated grille, racing-inspired tow hooks and 19 or 20 inch Goysar wheels wrapped in Michelin Cup rubbers. The model has also been fitted with a sports exhaust system, a KW racing suspension and a beefier rear axle. The car also features leather sport seats, air conditioning, Boston sound system and a few other goodies.
The team at Geigercars has done a great work under the hood, too. They placed new pistons, upgraded camshafts, a new crankshaft, a larger intercooler and optimized cylinder heads under the hood. These new elements enable the 6.2-liter V8 engine to generate 780 HP (574 kW) and 984 Nm (725 lb-ft) of torque. The coupe sprints the 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and it can reach a maximum speed of 338 km/h (210 mph) and run the quarter mile in 11.9 seconds. If you’d like to feel this freaky speed, well think twice before paying €138,090 for the car conversion.
