SRT Viper Time Attack

As a memory test, let’s get back a few months ago, until we reach the New York Auto Show. Can you remember the SRT Viper Time Attack? It was one of the stars at the event, a vehicle that combines classic beauty with modern technologies. And it’s high time we discovered some more interesting details with respect to the car.

Upgrade is at home when talking about the SRT Viper Time Attack. It received a race-tuned suspension featuring a two-mode Bilstein DampTronic setup. Weighting 3,390 lbs (1,537 kg), the SRT specialists decided to do some updates in the shocks, springs, sway bars and they also equipped the car with a lighter X-brace made from carbon fiber. The vehicle is powered by a V10 8.4-liter engine that develops 640 bhp (477 kW) and 600 lb-ft (814 Nm) of torque.

The SRT Viper Time Attack also got a brand new braking kit containing two-piece, 32mm wide Brembo high-thermal capacity rotors. The Advanced Aerodynamics Package has some carbon fiber front splitters and a rear spoiler. These are meant to produce more downforce at higher speeds (a 700 percent increase at 150 mph). These brake system is responsible for stopping the lightweight Sidewinder II wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa rubbers.

The SRT Viper Time Attack will benefit of a limited edition treatment. Only 159 units will be manufactured. 93 of them are going to be coloured in "TA Orange" paint, 33 units will be painted in "Venom Black" and the other 33 cars will be wearing a "Bright White" colour scheme. The supercar has already entered production in the Detroit factory and deliveries are going to begin at the end of this year.
