Ford Taurus SHO by Hennessey

The tuning legend John Hennessey, the head of the Hennessey Performance Engineering, has many impressive works on different cars, for example Venom GT or Cadillac CTS-V. The one he lately worked on is the Ford Taurus SHO. The kit is called the MaxBoost445 Performance Upgrade and Hennessey designed it because the owner of such a car asked him to.

Hennessey keeps the same 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine from the base Ford Taurus SHO. However he changes the basic 365 bhp (272 kW) output with a 445 bhp (332 kW). This allows the Taurus SHO to reach from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.3 seconds and the quarter mile in 12.8 seconds at 109 mph (175 km/h). This power increase is due to a new stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, dual cold-air induction system and also by remapping the engine's ECU.

The vehicle is provided with serialized dash and engine plaques and some badges on which it is written either "445 Boost" or "Hennessey". This tuning package created by Hennessey Performance has a one year or 12,000 miles warranty. This tuning company has been making fast cars faster since 1991. It remains to be seen how much success will have the upgraded Ford.
