The specialists had a proposal involving the VelociRaptor SUV that has as base the Ford F-150 Raptor Pickup truck. The engineers have done their best to turn it into something people would definitely buy. The new SUV has enough space for 8 people and picks up where the Ford Excursion left off, we might say.
The new model was developed for the ones that have really enjoyed the Ford Raptor, but that wanted more space and more seats for the occupants. This is what Don Goldman, Hennessey Performance CEO declared. Even though the transformation uses all of the factory Ford Raptor truck components and systems, the tuner said that they have not tested the off-road capabilities and this is why they recommend customers to use the VelociRaptor SUV for on-road as well as light to moderate off-road duties. The engineers have also added up to 272 kg and maybe this has to do with the restriction mentioned above. Under the hood, the vehicle hides a 6.2-liter V8 engine, just like the Raptor, capable of generating 411 horsepower.
The VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged is capable of generating 600 horsepower. This output enables the car to reach accelerate from 0 to 60 ph in 7.5 seconds and the 600 horsepower-model can reach 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. There are no details on the fuel consumption, but we do know that the starting price was established at $149.500. The tuner will only build 30 units per year and will have a lot of equipment like Brembo front brakes and also larger wheel and tires, and a lot more.
