Carmaker Kia revealed a new model today during the 2013 edition of the Detroit Auto Show. The model was developed for the American market and it called the Kia Cadenza. Actually if we go back in 2009, we might remember seeing it again, but called the K7, when it was launched for the first time in South Korea. Now, the specialists have just offered their talent and dedication to create a facelift version of the K7 and this is how the Kia Cadenza was born. So that you know, the new model is related to a Hyundai model, the Azera, to be more precise. We can find it seating between the Optima and the bigger, luxurious Quoris rear-wheel drive model also known as the K9.



The specialists have registered an increase in customers since the introduction of the range-topping Optima SXL in 2012. Mmore people are no looking for sedans, according to executive vice president of marketing & communications for Kia North America, Michael Sprague. He also said that the new Kia Cadenza id the new flagship for the carmaker in the North American market. Next year will go on sale and it will bring a lot of advanced systems that promise to set a new standard in the premium segment. The model obtained a new front end with a new grille, revised tail lamps, bumper designs and also several new elements for the interior.



Under the hood, the model hides a powerful 3.3-liter V6 engine capable of generating 293 horsepower and 255 lb. ft. of torque. To transfer all this to the front wheels, the engineers have offered a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard. The car is equipped with 245 / 45 R tires in base trim and with 245/40 R19 tires with the Technology Package offered as standard. In terms of technology, the specialists have provided a navigation system with SiriusXM Traffic and UVO eServices, all displayed on a high-resolution 8-inch touch screen. The list continues with a lot more. The Cadenza is scheduled to arrive in US showrooms in the second quarter of 2013.
