Korean carmaker KIA is working hard now trying to update its automobile range and revise its design language all the time. For example, last month we had the opportunity to see some images of the KIA K7 sedan covered in camouflage during a testing session in Colorado. Now, the carmaker confirmed the fact that they are working on a facelift version of the model that will also be available for the US market. Here the new model might be found as the Cadenza. Last week the model was presented in South Korea and pictures can be seen all over forums and on different websites.
The new 2013 KIA K7 sedan now has a new face with a front grille which was mounted lower and which has a sleeker look. The new car also features newly designed headlamps and a new-looking bumper. With all these new elements, the new sedan is actually in line with models like the K9 / Quoris luxury sedan, the Ceed / Pro_ceed hatchback, Carens MPV and the 2014 Forte. The profile of the new K7 sedan was improved as well. The engineers have offered new mirrors, thicker chrome strips on the lower part of the doors and front fender air vents which ware actually borrowed for the K9 model.
The back of the car features a new set of tail lamps with a re-sculptured bumper and oval exhaust pipes. Unfortunately we do not have any images with the interior, even though the carmaker did some modification in there as well. KIA will launch the KIA K7 sedan in November for the Korean customers. The North American ones, on the other hand, will receive their Cadenza in the first half of next year. This model might be equipped with a 3.3-liter V6 engine capable of generating 293 horsepower which will be then sent to the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission.
