This is the first time a Lexus vehicle will be produced in the US. The ES 350 will be assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky in 2015, according to Toyota. This new measure will create 750 jobs and to do it, the Japanese manufacturer will invest $360 in the plat from Georgetown. The specialists will produce 50.000 Lexus vehicles per year and the total annual production capacity will reach more than 550.000 vehicles. For those of you who do not know yet, the Lexus Company was born in the US and so it is only logical to bring the model back to the US customers. The production is the latest step in the continuing strategy Toyota has developed to assemble vehicles in the market where its customers live. The Japanese manufacturer has announced executive changes designed to provide regional managers with more local control to help the company deliver superior customer-focused products and services. Nowadays, the 14 North American plants that already produce seven out of every 10 vehicles that they sell in America and North American assembled vehicles are now exported to 23 countries around the world. Last year, the plant produced the 25 millionth Toyota vehicle built in the US.


The Lexus ES is the best selling sedan the carmaker has developed with around 58.850 vehicles sold in North America in 2012, including 56.158 in the US. The company managed to remain committed to building 3 million vehicles per year in Japan, including Lexus models, as previously announced.
