Mazda MX-5 Facelift Roadster

Japanese carmaker Mazda made public some pictures at the beginning of the week, of the improved 2013 MX-5 model in both soft top and retractable hard top body styles, a model that will be available for purchase starting today, but just for the Japanese customers. Nothing is for sure, but most changes on the JDM model will be offered for the international market versions before the end of 2012. The Mazda MX-5 had its first official debut back in 2005 and now it received its second facelift that offers a new bumper sporting a larger front grille opening with a more curved upper part. It also offers a front chin spoiler pus black headlamp bezels for the soft top and chrome bezels for the hard top version. This is not really all. The new Mazda MX-5 also features new front fog lamp housings and a pedestrian protection system, an Active Bonnet, which has the possibility to raise the rear end of the hood in case of an accident. This way, the energy is absorbed with the impact and the severity of the head injuries are being reduced in case of the collisions involving pedestrians. The new roadster had a Dolphin Gray Mica paint finish and it transfers the power to the road through 17-inch alloy wheels. For the interior, the carmaker offered a new tan color option for models that have leather seats. The Glossy Darl Gray finish is used for the steering wheel and the decoration panel. The control the accelerator in the manual transmission models and the brakes in all models, the carmaker has tweaked the throttle. The Japanese customers will have to take out of their pocket EUR 23.300, YEN 2.330.000 to get one unit.
