Mercedes has always been a respectable brand in the auto field. Its top position is clear to everybody, including to the rival companies which try to do their best to keep up with it. Mercedes cars are continuously submitted to changes by any tuning company that wishes to draw attention. The German aftermarket firm, KTW Tuning has presented its most recent project based on the muscle car Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
Just like the base model, the tuned up Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3 liter V8 engine. The stock model is able to produce 451 hp (336 kW / 457 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed SpeedShift MCT transmission which allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). As for the upgraded version created by KTW, it is capable of producing 518 hp (386 kW). The electronic top speed limiter was removed but KTW Tuning doesn't mention the maximum speed of the model.
KTW Tuning also remodeled the exterior design of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. The vehicle now features a black front grille, tinted rear and side windows. It rides on 20-inch alloy wheels covered by 235/30 ZR 20 tires at the front and 275/25 ZR20 tires at the back. The whole package, which by the way is called “Black Daimler”, including performance tuning and wheels package cost 6,599 Euros.
