2013 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 by VATH review and pictures
For most of the car lovers any Mercedes Benz vehicle means perfection. To improve a Mercedes version can be quite a challenge in these terms, but for VATH tuning company this is daily work. For many years, VATH has been the maximum expression for premium products in car tuning and automobile refinement. It is the sort of tuning company that can give wings to a car. And it surely has the same effect on the Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 which has just received a tuning program.
The most important piece of the VATH tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 is the engine upgrade. The tuner does an ECU remapping which increases output from 208 HP (153 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) to 245 HP (180 kW) and 390 Nm (287 lb-ft) of torque. The cost of the upgrade is 940 EUR. If this seems little work, find out that for an extra 4,950 EUR the client can order a sports exhaust system (including downpipe) and a bespoke air filter system which together raise the power to 265 HP (195 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft). This lethal combination allows the CLA 250 model to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in about 5.9 seconds and to hit a maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
VATH doesn’t limit only to upgrading the engine, but it also adds some more goodies to the vehicle. The Mercedes CLA 250 is fitted with a suspension lowering system which brings the vehicle closer to ground by 20 to 65 mm. The car rides on a set of 20 inch three piece wheels and it is equipped with carbon fiber front spoiler lip and a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel for the cabin. If the customer wishes, he can also order inside black velvet floor mats, a 300 km/h speedometer and a few carbon or wood elements. Take a look at the work done by the German tuner and decide if it’s worth the investment.
