Mercedes-Benz M-Class Guard

Along the years, Mercedes-Benz has developed a special line of vehicles, designed for the best security and protection a car has to offer. The latest model in the so called Guard line is the Mercedes-Benz M-Class Guard.

The M-Class Guard possesses bullet-proof side windows made with special laminated glazing with a uniform thickness all-round and a polycarbonate inner layer to protect occupants from shards of glass. The vehicle’ s body has specific adaptations so as to allow the attachment of some armour elements, such as a front structure with reinforcing elements and modified doors. All Guard vehicles must be tested by Ulm-based Ballistics Bureau and this is no exception. It can very efficiently face 357 Magnum and 44 fire from multiple angles or even the DM51 hand grenade.

Mercedes M-Class Guard comes in two engine variants. There is a ML350 BlueTEC with 258 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine and there is also the ML500 with a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 408 horsepower. Buying such a car requires 105,050 euros for the diesel and 118,650 euros for the V8 variant.

The Mercedes M-Class Guard is not only a luxurious functional vehicle with exceptional ride comfort , it is also an armour on wheels, being one of the most secure vehicles of this type in the entire world.
