Gumball 3000 Rally will kick off this weekend in Denmark and especially for the event, Japanese carmaker Nissan has unveiled the 370Z Nismo. The rally is a week-long and means 3.000 miles of driving adventure through 13 countries at the wheels of one of the most anticipated new cars of the year. The competition has a great heritage and it offers a great platform to bring the digital age performance to the streets of Europe. The Japanese team has entered as car 56, which is a great symbol for the carmaker as last year occupied Garage 56 at the Le Mans 24 Hour race. Next year, the manufacturer will come with an all-new race car which will incorporate electric technology.
We had the opportunity to see the model for the first time in Barcelona in January at the beginning of this year and it had its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The carmaker is preparing it now for offering it in showrooms a bit later this year. Under the hood it hides a 6-cylinder engine capable of generating 344 PS. The new model comes with a bespoke chassis tuned to deliver a sharper and even more engaging driving experience than before. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 5.2 seconds. The driver will be Patrice Meignan and Jeremy Taltaud for the Gumball 3000. The new Nissan comes with a special camouflage livery designed specifically for the event. The ones interested in knowing all the time the situation are more than welcome to visit Nismo.tv. Here they can find a video post offered every day containing highlights of the previous action of the day. The rally will run until the 25th of May ending in Monaco at the Formula 1 Grand Prix De Monaco 2013.
Nissan has now more than 14.500 employees and it is one of the most comprehensive European presences of any overseas manufacturer. Today it offers 24 diverse and innovative products for sale in Europe.
