Renault’s most important aim is to make sustainable mobility accessible to all the persons in the world. And this goal couldn’t be better illustrated by anything else except by the brand’s motto that is to drive the change. The French company is constantly developing new ideas. One of them is the Renault Megane RS 265 Red Bull RB8 edition. This is dedicated to the Formula 1 Red Bull drivers’ and constructors’ success.
This is not the first time when Renault developed a special edition for the Red Bull’s triumph. In May 2013 they have introduced a limited series of the Megane in order to celebrate the clear domination on track of the Red Bull team in 2012. The Renault Megane RS 265 Red Bull RB8 edition will be limited to only 120 units. All of them will be painted in Dusk Blue. Of course that the cars will be proudly wearing some Red Bull badges. They are equipped with Recaro seats at the front, a leather covered steering wheel and a few high-tech elements such as the R-Link Multimedia and TomTom Live systems and the on-board RS Monitor 2.0.
The Renault Megane RS 265 Red Bull RB8 edition features alloy foot pedals, a glossy black center console and a platinum gear knob. It rides on a set of 19 inch glossy black "Steev" alloys wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires. The powering unit is a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that generates 265 HP (195 kW). This configuration is also possible thanks to a limited-slip differential, grooved brake discs with red Brembo front calipers, as well as a stiffer setup for the dampers, springs and anti-roll bar. And if Red Bull gives you wings, why shouldn’t the Renault Megane RS265 Red Bull RB8 edition do it, too, especially because you can already order it, starting from almost 50,000 AUD in Australia.
