Shelby GT

The Ford Mustang Shelby has always been a legend in the auto field. The earliest versions date back to 1964. Currently, the Mustang is at its fifth generation and it is a vehicle that has been submitted to a lot of changes in order to be kept in fashion. News about the Shelby has always been among the favourites of the American brand’s lovers who just love to keep an eye on anything coming from the States. So, this year at the L.A. Auto Show, they got the chance to see the Shelby GT.

The Shelby GT is based on the 2014 Ford Mustang GT. The supercar is characterized by a new front fascia, a fiber glass hood and a billet grille. The producer has also placed a short shifter, a Ford Racing suspension and a set of 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in BFG G-Force Comp2 rubbers. The performance-to-price ratio makes the Shelby GT perfect for any serious pony car enthusiast.

And if we are discussing performance, we have to say that the Shelby GT is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that has a new air intake, and a sports exhaust system. This allows the engine to generate 430 bhp (320 kW), meaning a rather modest increase of 10 hp (7 kW). However, if we move on to the GT/SC version, we discover that it can develop 525 bhp (391 kW) or 624 bhp (465 kW) with the help of an extra supercharger. The car can sprint from 0-60 mph in about 3.7 seconds. The Shelby GT package is priced at $14,995 while the GT/SC package begins at $27,995.
