Not long ago, at the 2012 New York International Auto Show, SRT presented the incredible 2013 SRT Viper, a model took our breaths away. For sure a lot of people, if not everyone passionate, were wondering on the price of this bad boy. Now, the carmaker has finally decided to offer us some more details on this matter, especially to the ones interesting in purchasing for themselves one of these vehicles. It seems that the carmaker has some good news. The new Viper has a retail suggested price that is $15.000 lower than the price of the model General Motor has developed, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
Now, time has come for the bad news. The ones interested in owning one of these models will have to take out of their pockets $ 97.395 and this does not include the $ 1.995 destination charge. In the end, customers will have to pay a total of $ 99.390. And yeah, it is quite difficult to afford it, well, at least for most of us. The carmaker also offers the SRT Viper GTS, aside from the base model. This one has a starting price of $ 120.395 without the $ 1.995 destination charge. If you thought the regular Viper was hot, you should know that the GTS features a lot of elements that make it better.
To be more precise, we are talking about a two-mode active suspension and 6-spoke forged-aluminum rims. Under the hood it hides the same 8.4-liter V10 engine capable of developing 640 horsepower and 600 lb. ft. of torque. The output is being transferred to all the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. For orders you will have to wait for the middle of November. The SRT Viper will be manufactured at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit. This is the place all Vipers were built since the first generation in 1995.
