The SRT specialists offer incredible design every time with every model, but also more power combined with great handling, superior craftsmanship, innovative technology and special cabin. We are talking about the 2013 SRT Viper. The original thing was a 1992 Dodge Viper RT / 10 Roadster powered by an 8.0-liter V10 engine capable of generating 465 lb. ft. of torque. This output enabled it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds and to reach a top speed of 165 mph. Now, the 2013 Viper uses a new platform that provides 50 % more torsional rigidity. The engineers have used door skins and kick plates made of lightweight aluminum alloy. It also features bi-xenon HID headlamps and diode-based illumination for the brakes and blinkers.
The model receives power from an 8.4-liter 10-cylinder engine capable of generating 640 horsepower and 600 lb. ft. of torque. To transfer all this to the wheels, the specialists have offered as standard a 6-speed manual transmission and in comparison to its predecessor, the Tremec TR6060 has been improved with closer gear ratios and a shorter final drive. The new SRT Viper also features a GKN ViscoLok speed-sensing limited-slip differential that helps put the power to the pavement. Both models benefit from engineering upgrades. To handle the extra power, the carmaker used 14-inch ventilated iron rotors at all four corners, each clamped by a 4-piston caliper. The car features 18-inch alloy wheels up front covered in 295 / 30 ZR 18 Pirelli P Zero tires on the front axle and 19-inch alloy wheels covered in 355 / 30 ZR 19 tires on the rear one. In terms of performance, know that the model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and of reaching a drag-limited top speed of around 206 mph. last, you should also know that the SRT Viper will be sold in two models: Viper and Viper GTS. The price for the first one was established at $97.395 plus $1.995 destination fee and the second one has a starting price of $120.395 plus destination charge.
