If you have ever doubted that fast can become faster when it comes to Mustangs, you were wrong. Some right people like Shelby American Inc. can solve this problem. That’s how they developed the Shelby Mustang GT500.
The supercar achieves 60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds. The quarter-mile is completed in less than 10 seconds. Big 15-inch front discs and 12-inch rear discs with six-piston Brembo calipers stop the beast quickly too, from 60 mph in about 102 feet.
The Shelby Mustang GT500 is provided with a 4.0-liter Whipple blower mounted instead of the car's stock supercharger, which make the car to obtain an impressive status with a 9.39 quarter-mile time at 147.6 miles per hour. This means a world record for the GT500 Mustang. The previous record was set in July 2012 with the 2013 GT500 Mustang. It was 9.77 seconds.
