Focusing on handling, low-weight and low center of gravity, the 2013 Subaru BRZ is scheduled to make its US debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 9th, reflecting the brand's core powertrain and chassis engineering throughout. The 2013 BRZ will arrive in Subaru dealerships in late spring, being designed to deliver an exceptional handling thanks to the developed chassis that ensures the lowest center of gravity by making use of an excellent packaging of the brand's Boxer engine design. The engineers created an all-new naturally aspirated 2.0-liter, 200 HP horizontally opposed and it could be placed lower and farther back in the chassis. Thus, pure sports car handling is achieved through an engine placement which allows for low polar moment. Either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission is available for the Subaru BRZ, while its weight is of only 2,700 lbs. Furthermore, the sleeky styled BRZ receives a lean and athletic stance due to the pronounced rear haunches, short overhangs, bulging front fenders, swept-back roofline and a height of just 50.6 inches. With the brand's renowned quality and safety, the Subaru BRZ will undoubtedly provide everyday comfort and practicality with expandable trunk space and 2+2 seating.
