Just now, German carmaker Volkswagen released the price list for the 7th generation Golf for the UK market. At the same time, the specialists have offered us more information on the price of the 2013 VW Jetta Hybrid for the North American market. It seems that the turbocharged gasoline-electric hybrid model will be available in the US before the end of this year and it will have a starting price f $24.995. This sum does not include the $795 destination charge. The new Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid hides under the hood a new 1.4-liter turbocharged and direct-injected TSI gasoline engine. It also features a zero-emission electric motor that will produce 27 horsepower. Together, the two produce 170 horsepower and 184 lb. ft. of torque.
To transfer the power to the wheels, the carmaker offered a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox. These enable the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 9.0 seconds. Volkswagen estimates the fuel consumption at 45 mpg. Apparently the new 2013 Jetta Hybrid will be available in four trim levels.
The starting price for the base model was established at $24.995. Next we have the SE, which is priced at $26.990, followed by the SEL at $29.325 and last, but not least, the SEL Premium priced at $31.180. The basic model features Daytime Running Lights, power windows with one-touch up/down, audio system, Bluetooth connectivity and a leather wrapped multifunction steering wheel. To transfer the power to the road, the engineers have offered 15-inch alloy wheels. The SE features LED taillights, keyless access with push-button start, power recline front seats and a lot more. The SEL Premium has Bi-Xenon headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and Active Front-lighting System on top of the elements features on the other trim levels. To transfer the power to the wheels, the carmaker used 17-inch rims.
