2014 Acura ILX review and pictures
According to Acura, the 2014 ILX compact sedan, their cheapest model will go on sale today. If you are interested in owning one of these bad boys, you should know that the model comes with several new elements offered as standard. The specialists have tried to improve the comfort of the interior and in the end they have done a really nice job.
In terms of exterior, in comparison to the previous model the new model has upgraded 17-inch alloy wheels and this is about the only difference. Returning to the inside again, we can see that the car comes with added standard elements like new leather seating surfaces and leatherette door liners. The list continues with an eight-way seat for the driver, heated front seats and also with a new Multi-Angle Rearview Camera which will come in very handy. So that you know, the carmaker has also equipped the new 2014 Acura ILX with a new audio-system subwoofer and an Active Noise Cancellation system. All the elements mentioned now were added to the ones found on the 2013 model like the standard Keyless Access System with smart entry and pushbutton start.
The 2013 ILX also comes with SMS text message function for easy connectivity and Pandora interface. The carmaker offers the new model with the Premium Package and Technology Package. The price for the upgrades is $1.000 more expensive than before. The suggested retail price of the manufacturers was established at $26.900.
The model will be available with two engines. The first one is a standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit capable of generating 150 horsepower and the second one is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder unit capable of producing 201 horsepower. To transfer the output to the wheels, the engineers have offered a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission. The standard engine has a fuel consumption of 28 mpg on a combined cycle and the 2.4- liter one delivers 25 mpg on a combined cycle.
