Apparently Acura has released new information on their new achievement, the 2014 Acura RLX flagship sedan. The model will be available in all Acura dealerships starting next March and the starting price was established at $48.450. The new car receives power from an all-new direct-injected SOHC –VTEC V6 engine capable of generating 310 horsepower. In terms of technologies, the car comes with Precision All-Wheel Steer and Jewel Eye LED headlamps and delivers new levels of performance, safety and comfort. Thanks to the Acura Precision All-Wheel Steer, the new RLX reaches new levels of handling agility, confident handling control and high and low-speed maneuverability. The model equipped with the Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive technology is capable of generating 370 horsepower and the fuel economy reaches 30 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway and30 mpg on a combined cycle. This variant will be revealed and available for purchase a bit later this year. New safety technologies offered as standard include Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning. The list continues with knee airbag for the driver, the Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure and Collision Mitigation Braking System.
The new Acura RLX also offers driver-assistive technologies like Lane Keeping Assist system, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Blind Spot Information system and front and rear parking sensors. In case you are interested in owning one of these models, know that will be available in five grades: the well-equipped RLX, the RLX with Navigation, the feature-packed RLX with Technology package, the RLX with Krell Audio package and last, but not least, the RLX with Advance package.
