The four rings brand is one of the most famous in the world. Audi is a complex company having everything a successful car manufacturer needs and it is present in the most important auto markets. The company is continuously working on new projects and many of them are based on the TDI engine. As a matter of fact, the Germans from Audi celebrate the 25th anniversary of the TDI engine and the best way they thought to do this is by introducing an Audi RS5 TDI concept.
The Audi RS5 TDI Concept is going to be introduced at AMI Leipzig. The vehicle is based on the RS5 Coupe. However the 4.2-liter V8 petrol engine has been exchanged with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 TDI unit which has received an electrically driven supercharger that has the mission of eliminating turbo lag. The engine generates 385 PS (283 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque and it works linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission which delivers power to a quattro all-wheel drive. This configuration permits the vehicle to sprint the 0-100 km/h in about four seconds. It can reach a maximum speed in excess of 280 km/h (174 mph) and needs less than 5 L/100km (47 mpg US / 56.4 mpg UK).
The standard version Audi RS5 outputs 450 PS (331 kW) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque which allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds before reaching an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The coupe concept is quite attractive and it will surely be admired by the Audi fans all over the world.
