2014 BMW 2 Series Coupe by AC Schnitzer review and pictures
For twenty-five years now, AC Schnitzer has kept open the door to superior vehicle technology from motorsport for committed BMW and MINI drivers. The tuning company develops custom components which meet the highest standards of perfection and which make the difference from the series production. They have just introduced a new tuning program for the BMW 2 Series Coupe which has everything: performance upgrades, body parts and interior updates.
The BMW 2 Series Coupe is now more good-looking thanks to some exterior elements that the tuner has placed, such as carbon fiber components including a front splitter, a rear diffuser and mirror caps. The company also equips the coupe with a roof spoiler, a sports exhaust system and a variety of 18 to 20-inch alloy wheels. There is also a sport racing suspension available, which can reduce the ride height by 30-40 mm. Inside the vehicle we can notice handbrake handle, velour foot mats, alloy pedals and a variety of gear knobs.
The BMW 2 Series Coupe also receives an engine upgrade. This is how the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine can reach 380 PS (279 kW). This allows the model to sprint the 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds. The diesels also benefit from upgrades. The 218d can be upgraded to develop 171 PS (126 kW), while the 220d can be prepared to increase to 218 PS (160 kW). And finally, the 225d can be upgraded to 258 PS (190 kW). With this complex tuning project, the client couldn’t be happier.
