2014 BMW X5 price review and pictures
German carmaker BMW has announced the starting price of the 2014 X5. According to the specialists, the model will be marketed for $53.725, price which also includes the $925 destination charge. Back in 1999, the carmaker has revealed the first Sports Activity Vehicle, the BMW X5 and now, two generations later, we have the 3rd X5, a model that will again set new standards for luxury, versatility and driving dynamics. The X5 xDrive35i has a starting price of $56.025, the xDrive35d $57.525 and last, but not least, we have the X5 xDrive50i that has a starting price of $69.125. The new model come with new standard equipment like Auto Start-Stop system, iDrive4.2 Navigation System with Touchpad, 10 years of BMW Assist eCall service, 40-20-40 split folding rear seat and standard Servotronic speed-sensitive power steering.
These models will arrive in US showrooms in the 4th quarter of this year. All will be equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The X5 has its unique blend of sporty, elegant exterior design and luxurious, flexible interior ambiance. In order to individualize the cars, the specialists have also offered the possibility to opt for two Interior Design Packages: Ivory White and Mocha. BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive can be complemented by Dynamic Performance Control as part of the optional Dynamic Handling Package. Adaptive M suspension, available as part of M Sport, also includes Dynamic Damper Control and rear air suspension with more sports-oriented suspension tuning. The proportions of the new model are again defined by a short front overhang, long wheelbase, upright A-pillars and the short distance between the front axle and the leading edge of the front door. The interior is both elegant and spacious.
