The latest sedan that makes the line between value and luxury uncertain is the new Kia Cadenza. The carmaker has established a starting price of $35.100, but even so, the model offers great value to the customers. The name of the new model comes from the Italian musical term that translates into cadence. This name actually fits nicely with the other models with a musical name, the Forte. The model will be used as a test to see how customers will respond to it despite the fact that the manufacturer already announced that the Quoris will be released in 2014. The model will receive power from a V6 engine and will have a very roomy interior, just like the Amanti which has been discontinues in 2009.
In terms of looks, the new Cadenza reminds us of the BMW 5 Series with the aggressively shaped headlights, the wide LED taillights and Audi-esque oval exhaust outlets. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered 19-inch multi-spoke wheels. There is a bad thing about it that is very obvious and that is the buttons on the instrument panel and center stack that feel identical to every Hyundai and Kia product available at the moment.
In terms of comfort, you should know that the driver will get a 10-way power adjustable seat with heating and ventilation. The passengers on the back will get heated outboard seats and 36.8 inches of legroom, which is quite impressive. As mentioned above, the 2014 model is powered by a direct-injected 3.3-liter V6 engine capable of generating 293 horsepower and 255 lb. ft. of torque. To transfer all this output to the wheels, the engineers have offered a 6-speed automatic transmission which actually offers manual shifts as well using the shift lever of the steering-wheel-mounted paddles. The new model will have a fuel consumption of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
