We are not sure you follow this type of information, but the introduction of the 2014 Kia Forte sedan marks the second time in five years that the carmaker has completely redesigned its compact sedan offering. Each product offered by Kia has gotten progressively more attractive with each new generation and we can all admit the fact that the situation is the same with the Forte.
If we look at if from the side we can observe the rakish A Pillar and the roofline that together create a visual illusion that it is both sporty and on trend. At the front we can see the pinched grille in chrome and also the twin swept-back headlamp clusters. These come with LED light strips for the first time actually. All the modifications have offered an incredible styling to the compact sedan, improving its look considerably.
For the interior, the carmaker provided and only as optional, leather with heated and ventilated driver seat. For the front and rear passengers designers offer optional heated seating surfaces. Of course we cannot argue tastes, but at least Kia did not build a familiar model, but a unique one. When it comes to equipment, know that the new Kia Forte features as standard AM/ FM / CD / MP3 / Sirius XM audio system with USB and auxiliary input jacks and Bluetooth connectivity. The list continues with power windows, door locks and also with a steering wheel that tilts and telescopes. In terms of safety the engineers have offered six airbags, four-wheel ABS disc brakes, stability and traction control, brake assist, tire pressure monitoring, hill-start assist and last, but not least LATCH child safety seat tethers all offered as standard.
Under the hood, the base version of the Kia Forte, LX hides a 1.8-liter engine capable of generating 148 horsepower and 131 lb. ft. of torque. The EX receives power from a 2.0-liter engine with direct injection capable of producing 173 horsepower and 154 lb. ft. of torque. The starting price was established at $16.000 and it goes up to $18.500.
