Mercedes SL 63 AMG by Brabus

Mercedes means perfection for a lot of persons. So in these terms to come up with an upgrade is the ultimate challenge for tuning companies. And speaking about tuning, there is no other company more preoccupied by Mercedes cars than Brabus, the brand’s official tuner. When a Mercedes-Benz is modified by Brabus you expect the unexpected. This time the high performance tuning company has chosen to work on the Mercedes SL 63 AMG.

The tuning program for the Mercedes Benz SL 63 AMG is entitled the Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo. The tuner equipped the vehicle with an aerodynamic styling package that contains a front splitter, a hood scoop, a rear diffuser and a trunk-mounted spoiler. The model has also received a sports exhaust system and it rides on a set of 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

As for the heart of the Mercedes Benz SL 63 AMG, the stock twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine has been upgraded so that now it can develop 850 HP (625 kW) and 1450 Nm (1069 lb-ft) of torque. This is quite an impressive increase of 313 HP (230 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft). The company refused to release performance specifications up till now. However, the standard model sprints from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and can go up to a limited maximum speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). This convertible is a pretty spectacular vehicle.
