Together with the explosive developing of the car manufacturing world, some other branches in the auto field have developed. One of them is the tuning segment which created a great competition between tuning companies, each of them choosing classy vehicles to work on and show their skills. Voltage Design is such a tuning company. As the name suggest, it is primarily focused in performance upgrades. Their recent project is based on the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe.
First of all, the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe is equipped with a carbon fiber package including a radiator grille (including logo), front spoiler, front apron wings, hood air inlets, mirror caps, side skirts, diffuser and tailgate spoiler. For some extra money, the entire hood and grille can be manufactured from the same lightweight material. And we’d better consider the fact that the tuner does this despite the fact that most of the people consider the vehicle as being perfect.
The V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine powering the vehicle now has an increased boost from 585 PS (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) to 800 PS (588 kW) and 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft). The important power boost was possible thanks to a fiddling with the engine's electronics, installing a custom exhaust system with valve command, upgrading the manifold and charge air cooler as well as installing larger turbos. A larger carbon ceramic braking system is also available abd the car gets a set of Vossen CVT 22-inch alloy wheels as well as custom springs that can lower the ride height between 10mm and 35mm. This is it about the package for now!
