Shortly after DKR Tuning was founded, back in 2002 in Mechernich, the successful story of the business began. Since the beginning, the company had developed software solutions for small cars, trucks and motorcycles. This way, a few years later, the confirmation that the company was one of the best tuning houses in the world and one of the most important software optimization providers in the auto field came. DKR Tuning teamed up with Mcchip and together they are one of the most famous tuning companies. The firm’s latest project is based on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series upgraded by mcchip-dkr is powered by the 6.3-liter V8 engine which has an increased output from the stock 622 PS (457 kW) to 654 PS (481 kW). The torque figure is also higher with 1 Nm to 649 Nm (479 lb-ft) and all these power upgrades were possible due to remapping the engine's ECU which has also lowered fuel consumption.
The tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is priced at 3,199 EUR and as the tuner confirms, this is only the first stage of the tuning kit. They are already working on a more powerful stage 2 package. Both these two upgrading packages won’t have too many clients, as the vehicle in cause was produced in a limited number of units, being replaced by the cheaper AMG GT. There are always clients who are not satisfied by serial car performance. So, precisely for this kind of clients, mcchip-dkr offers this engine tuning.
