In the world of the auto tuning you have two options: either you are a very good specialist, either you don’t exist. The challenge between the tuning firms becomes greater and greater as car brands manufacture more and more attractive vehicles. Cam Shaft is a German car tuning firm that has a strong desire to excel in the field. No matter if we are talking about full or partial wrapping, coating protection foilings, car styling themes, Cam Shaft is the best of all teams. And their latest project is realized together with PP-Performance. It is based on the previous generation MINI Cooper S.
As an expert in wrapping, the main concern for Cam Shaft was to cover th eoriginal paint of the vehicle and for this they have chosen a shiny orange wrapping that features a pearl effect. In order to emphsize the colour, the MINI Cooper S got a black roof and matte black wheel arches. These changes cost around 1,900 EUR. Besides these exterior changes, there are also a new set of 17 inch alloy wheels with 215/45 R17 Toyo tires and KW variant 2 coilovers.
Cam Shaft teamed up with PP-Performance to work on the engine configuration. The 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged engine usually develops 184 PS (135 kW). Now, the tuners have increased it to 240 PS (176 kW) by fitting the vehicle with a custom exhaust system priced at 1,899 EUR. The extra power was also possible by remapping the motor's software and using a different air inlet with sports air filter. The standard vehicle reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.3 seconds and goes up to 140 mph (225 km/h). So if you want a stronger MINI feel free to upgrade it.
