2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo in Chicago review and pictures

Especially for the Chicago Motor Show, Japanese carmaker Nissan has developed a slightly updated version of the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo, a model that will be sold on the North American market starting with this summer. The current model is capable of generating 350 horsepower and it features racing-inspired exterior and interior styling, a customized suspension and unique super-lightweight forged alloy wheels. For the exterior the specialists have offered new dark grey to the front and rear fascias, lower side sills, side mirrors and rear spoiler. In terms of interior, know that the new 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo includes a new steering wheel with Alcantara appointments and red accents. We will also have the opportunity to see a red NISMO tachometer.
This performance was achieved thanks to the 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control capable of generating 350 horsepower, like mentioned above and 276 lb. ft. of torque. The VVEL system helps optimize intake valve open / close movements, allowing the needed air to be sent promptly to the combustion chamber at the exact optimized time.
To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have provided a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with SynchroRev Match synchronized downshift rev matching system. This function automatically controls and adjusts engine speed when shifting to the speed of the next gear position. The system can be deactivated with a button next to the shifter for drivers who prefer to shift on their own. To send the output to the road, the specialists have used unique 5-spoke Nissan-branded 19-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy wheels with a Gun Metallic finish. So that you know, together with the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo, the carmaker also offers the 370Z Coupe and Roadster versions. The prices were not reveals yet.
