2014 Renault Clio R3T Rally Car review and pictures

For all of you out there waiting for new details on the new Renault Clio Renaultsport R3T rally car developed by Renault Sport Technologies, here we have a new photo gallery specially developed. Apparently the French carmaker will present the new model for the first time to the public next year. Enthusiasts had the possibility to see it during a show at the Rallye du Var at the end of last week, which was the last part of the Renault Rally Trophy season. The new model is actually a replacement of the Clio Renaultsport R3 which has been introduced back in 2006. Back then, the model had to comply with FIA R3 regulations which included cars with performances that can be compared to Super 1600, but the only difference being that it could have been found at half price.
The specialists managed to sell 373 kits of the Clio Renaultsport R3 that had as base the Clio generation built before. The engineers are now focusing all their attention towards the development of the Clio Renaultsport R3T that will come equipped with a turbo engine. This new vehicle has as base the Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo EDC equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged unit. To transfer all the output to the road, the engineers have offered a 6-speed sequential transmission that also came with optional steering-wheel paddle shifts. Different suppliers have provided brakes, electronics, transmissions and shock absorbers and their names are: Sachs, Sadev, PFC and Cosworth. Soo, we will have more photos for you.
