2014 Renault Clio RS Gordini review and pictures

Renault is a very famous brand in the automobile industry. It is there for sports car enthusiasts, too. With exclusive vehicles and sports competitions it brings the world of motorsport closer to the regular people. All the Renault sports cars reflect the company’s tradition in excellence. The Renault Clio, Twingo and Megane are the names that offer a high pleasure of sporty driving. And the French manufacturer is planning to introduce a new Renault Clio RS in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
There are not too many details about the new version of the Renault Clio RS, but we can assume that it will be a range-topping Gordini version. It will be powered by a turbocharged 4-cylinder that develops 230 HP (169 kW) and 285 Nm (210 lb-ft), or by a 1.6-liter engine which will generate 30 HP (22 kW) and 51 Nm (33 lb-ft) more powerful than the regular Clio RS. The rumours say that the vehicle will lose 25 kg (55 lbs) in weight, and it will have a lowered Cup chassis that should bring the car closer to ground by 10 mm. The vehicle will also sit on 18 inch Radical White alloy wheels.
In these conditions, the Renault Clio RS Gordini will sprint the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) distance in 5.9 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The regular Clio RS needs 6.7 seconds for the sprint and has a maximum speed of 143 mph (230 km/h). The vehicle will feature real carbon fiber inserts, alloy pedals, Recaro Sportster seats. The client will be able to choose the following exterior paints: Blue Gordini, Red Flame with platinum white stripes, Glacier White with blue stripes and Platinum Gray with Gordini blue stripes. Of course that Gordini branded elements will be all over the car.
