Renault is quite a famous brand in the automobile industry. It is there for sports car enthusiasts, too. With exclusive vehicles and sports competitions it brings the world of motorsport closer to the regular people. All the Renault sports cars reflect the company’s tradition in excellence. The Renault Clio, Twingo and Megane are the names that offer a high pleasure of sporty driving. And the French manufacturer is present at the Geneva Motor Show with a special edition of the Renault Clio RS called the “Monaco GP”.
Well, if we take the car as a whole, it has nothing special although it comes as a special edition. The Renault Clio RS Monaco GP is powered by the same 1.6-liter turbo engine that outputs 200 HP (147 kW) and which works linked to the front wheels through a dual-clutch, six-speed EDC gearbox. Changes still occur and these are the Pearlescent White and Platinum Grey exterior paint schemes along with an optional black roof. It can be equipped with sets of 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels and the sporty vehicle will be distinguished by a few black accents on the rear diffuser, front blade, door handles, side protective strips, rear spoiler and also on the mirrors.
The Renault Clio RS Monaco GP features leather upholstery with red stitching, numbered door sills and Renault Sport mats. Dark metal touches are found on the steering wheel, gear lever knob and gaiter. The seat belts are matched to all these with a grey colour. The end of March is the moment when deliveries will begin. The limited edition will go to 20 markets of the world and we can’t wait to see how well it is received.
