The Toyota Yaris is a subcompact car produced by Toyota since 1999, replacing the Starlet. Between 1999 and 2005, some markets received the same vehicles under the Toyota Echo name. Toyota has used the "Yaris" and "Echo" names on the export version of several different Japanese-market models. The model reached the third generation in 2011. And now Toyota comes up with an important facelift for this last generation the 2015 Yaris. This facelift version was introduced in the U.S.A.
The 2015 Toyota Yaris facelift has nothing different from the facelift European version of the same vehicle. As we are talking here about facelift, the Yaris has received a new front fascia with a slender grille and a massive air intake. The car also has restyled headlights, an updated suspension and a refreshed interior with a new dashboard and additional sound deadening material. It will be available in three trim levels.
The entry-level Toyota Yaris L comes nicely equipped with air conditioning, power windows / locks and an Entune infotainment system with a 6.1-inch display. The Yaris LE adds cruise control, keyless entry, silver / metallic interior trim and 15-inch alloy wheels. The top trim, the Yaris SE features projector beam headlights, LED daytime running lights and 16-inch alloy wheels, as well as a sport-tuned suspension, beefier brakes and a rear spoiler. Other notable things include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, gloss black trim and unique cloth upholstery.
The Toyota Yaris facelift is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 106 bhp (79 kW) and 103 lb-ft (139 Nm) of torque. It can be paired to a five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle will enter sales by the end of the month and pricing begins at $14,845.
