Chevrolet COPO Camaro

We’ve heard a lot of news about Chevrolet branded vehicles these days. And it’s no wonder as the SEMA is currently on the run. This show is the premier automotive trade event in the world. It attracts the auto industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. And, being on American ground Chevrolet, as a respectable brand has to face competition coming from other continents. Among the cars exhibited at SEMA we can admire the 2015 Chevy COPO Camaro.

The 2015 Chevrolet COPO Camaro is specially created to take part in the NHRA Stock Eliminator competition and Super Stock classes. The model features an NHRA-approved roll cage and other safety kit, as well as racing suspension and chassis parts. The model exhibited at SEMA is covered in an Abalone White exterior combined with gray and orange accents and fresh COPO graphics. It is the fourth year for the COPO Camaro program and like the other programs, only 69 race cars will be built.

The limited edition of the Chevrolet COPO Camaro will be powered by 350 "LSX" V-8 with a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger , as well as 350, 396 and 427 naturally aspirated engines along with a 327 motor equipped with either a 2.9- or 4.0-liter supercharger. Each COPO Camaro race car is built by hand starting with production hardware, including the same body in white used for production models. So it is a fantastic vehicle.
