A few months ago, we first head the fact that Chrysler will have to inform its dealers in order to sell the SRT Viper. Each dealer will have to meet certain special criteria and only then they will be allowed to sell the supercar. Now we found out that only 6.5 % of the North American Chrysler dealerships will gain the right to sell the new model. SRT has demanded different qualifications which are absolutely necessary and it seems that out of 2.300 dealerships found in the US, only 100-150 will satisfy them. These contain different criteria that will enable dealers to handle several types of customers and different approaches. Back in July, this number was higher, around one-fifth, actually. A lot of the dealers will be fired, but the lucky ones will receive a training which will make them understand all the necessary aspects when it comes to selling a $ 99.390 SRT Viper and a $ 122.390 GTS.
The training will no be free. The dealers will have to pay for it. Depending on the model the price can vary. To sell the 640 horsepower model the training will cost $ 20.000. Tools, preferential ordering and others, will cost another $ 5.000. The ones interested can opt in at the $ 5.000 level. If the dealer has met customer satisfaction standards, then they are eligible for the special treatment in terms of ordering. Of course, any dealer can work on any SRT car, but not on the Viper. Only a few will have this chance. There is no way of knowing which the selection criteria are, but an unofficial requirement is a passion for cars. Well, folks this is all so far on the matter. Let us hope a lot of the dealers will have the chance to spend that $ 20.000. autoblog
