Infiniti revealed the price list for the 2013 G37 models

For the ones interested in purchasing the new Infiniti G Series sedan, well, hold on! Apparently both the 2013 Infiniti G37Xand the G37 models have the same price as their 2012 counterparts. Wait, this is not all! The 2013 Infiniti G37 Journey is the cheapest one from the G Series and it has a starting price of $37.795. This price also includes the $895 destination charge. After a simple math we find out that this new model is $3.800 more expensive than the G25 sedan model revealed last year and which was sold until December. Different specialists, customers and fans actually complained that the G25 was not capable of producing enough power in comparison with other entry-level luxury sedans. On the other hand it was very easy to handle. Anyway, the Japanese carmaker decided to take it off the market. Why? Maybe because of low sales number and a strong Japanese yen against a weak US dollar; this made the model unprofitable and hence the decision of dropping it from the lineup.

Infiniti offers three versions of the G37 sedan for 2013. Beside the already mentioned G37 Journey priced at $37.795, we have the Infiniti G37x that comes with all-wheel drive and with a starting price of $39.395. Last, the Japanese carmaker offers the Infiniti G37 Sport which has a starting price of $42.395. All models use a 7-speed automatic transmission to transfer the power to the wheels, but the G37 Sport which is available with a 6-speed manual transmission, just like in 2012. To handle the power, the engineers offer bigger brakes and a stiffer suspension. They have equipped the model with 18-inch wheels covered in performance tires, a limited slip differential, a special body work and sport seats. The new 2013 Infiniti G37 models will have limited seating on the market as the carmaker already announced a new G Series sedan expected to appear for the first time in 2014. A few units might even be available in dealerships sometime next summer, but of course, nothing is for sure, yet.
