The new Alfa Romeo MiTo MY2014 will be displayed in few days` time at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Up to this moment, very few things are known about the car, but the automaker has released some pictures.
Few modifications have been added to the auto, the most relevant of them is the new 0.9 liter 2 cylinder TwinAir engine. The TwinAir unit works together with a six speed manual transmission, outputting 10 hp at 5.750 rpm and a peak torque of 120 Nm (88.5 lb-ft) at 1.750 rpm. This engine averages 4.2 liters/ 100 Km (56 mpg US) and emits 99 g of CO2/ Km.
The motor range for the auto comes with five petrol engines: the 170 HP 1.4 MultiAir Turbo, the 78 HP 1.4, the 135 HP 1.4 MultiAit Turbo (either with manual or with Alfa TCT automatic gearbox) and the the 70 HP 1.4. There are also two turbo diesel engines available: the 120 HP 1.6 JTDM and the renewed E5+ 86 HP 1.3 JTDM.
The vehicle can get from 0 to 200 Km/h (62 mhp) in 11.4 seconds with a top speed of 184 Km.h (114 mph). The torque goes up to 145 Nm (107 lb-ft) at 2.000 rpm when the DNA selector is in Dynamic position.
As previously mentioned, the car has only been mildly modified. The burnished finishing of the front light clusters available on all versions and the AnthFracite Grey body color, together with the grille that gets a chrome plated frame are the main modifications that the MiTo My2014 Alfa Romeo comes with.
The inside of the unit is also more or less the same, featuring new dashboard customizing options and four redesigned upholstery combinations. A 5 inch color touch screen for the multimedia system (based on Uconnect) and integrated TomTom navigation system are also to come with this slightly updated unit.
