Alfa Romeo starts delivering the 4C Launch Edition

The Italian brand Alfa Romeo worked on a compact super car which represents the true essence of a sports car, according to the brand's values: performance, Italian style and technical excellence aimed at maximum driving pleasure in total safety. This car is the Alfa Romeo 4C whose concept has been presented at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. Now, a few months later, the first five units were delivered.
Alfa Romeo held a special ceremony at the Balocco Test Center in Italy, where the first five lucky owners of the vehicle were invited. They had an extraordinary driving experience with the experimented drivers working for the company and the 1993 DTM champion Nicola Larini. The first outstanding vehicles all remain on the European continent. They can be seen in Switzerland, France, Germany, Netherlands and Italy.
The Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition is a limited one, a number of 500 units being planned to come out the factory. The edition will come in only two paint schemes, either Alfa Red paint or Carrara White. The aerodynamic body of the vehicle is made out of door mirror covers and spoiler, bi Led headlights and a rear darkened aluminum diffuser. The 4C rides on 18 inch alloys at the front and 19 inch alloys at the back. The suspension of the vehicle has been modified and a racing exhaust system has been added. The car is also equipped with leather and Alcantara seats, a BMC air cleaner, specially coloured brake calipers. The Alfa Red variant is completed by a red stitching on the steering, handbrake, handles and seats, too.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is powered by a 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 240 HP (176 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. This allows the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and to reach a top speed in excess of 250 km/h (155 mph). The Alfa Romeo 4C is a true driving machine without compromise that delivers its best precisely on the track, where speed, short braking distances and transverse acceleration are essential to be the best. However, the fortunate owners will certainly turn heads on the road when driving the supercar.
